Position Overview:
The Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of supply chain operations within 1 site. This role provides overall direction in the areas of performance management, safety, P&L oversight, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development. The Sr. Operations Manager ensures operational excellence while driving profitability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.


Work Location: On-site Sumner, WA


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st shift with the ability to work before and after scheduled hours with the possibility of weekend work depending on business needs.


Travel Specifics: Less than 10%


Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $90,000-$110,000 plus bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.  Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead distribution, packaging, and transportation operations to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.

  • Evaluate overall operations and establish short- and long-term goals aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Oversee warehousing, packaging, and transportation activities to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service, value, and profitability.

  • Direct safety programs to ensure the protection of associates, equipment, and property.

  • Manage operations budgets, including P&L responsibility.

  • Develop workforce plans, ensuring proper staffing, labor cost management, overtime control, and retention strategies.

  • Maximize productivity and quality by setting standards, evaluating performance, and addressing variances with corrective action and training.

  • Collect and report performance measurements per customer, vendor, and site requirements.

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operations reports.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, GMP, and IDL’s operational standards.

  • Deliver consistent, high-performance outcomes for associates and customers.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma and equivalent progressive work experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or transportation management.
  • 5+ years of management experience in high-volume, fast paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, or transportation environments.
  • Proven P&L management experience.
  • Experience in high-volume e-commerce operations.
  • Strong expertise in both inbound and outbound operations.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and communication styles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and metrics/measurement tools.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules based on operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
  • 3PL industry experience with multi-site oversight.
  • Familiarity with ADP platforms.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
