Position Summary:
The Training Manager will be responsible for conducting or overseeing all training for operations, quality, and safety to include orientations, ongoing OSHA compliance training, and forklift/ MHE training. Additionally, this individual will be assisting with the administration of the training management system and training new associates on technical skills as well as appropriate safety behaviors. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee or conduct New Hire Orientation at company locations across the US based on business needs
- Travel to support remote locations as needed
- Oversee or conduct forklift/MHE training on an as needed basis for new and existing associates
- Train and certify MHE trainers as needed across all company locations
- Track and assist in new hire communications, roundtable discussions and the evaluation process until associate is qualified
- Oversee and manage training management system to include recording, auditing, and conducting training
- Manage the development and implementation of training materials and programs
- Observe and check in with new hires to ensure acclimation to MHE within environment
- Manage forklift refresher training or remedial training as needed
- Oversee program for forklift evaluations
- Oversee auditing program for safe forklift behaviors
- Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Location: West Jordan, Utah
Salary: $80,000–$100,000
Travel: 0-25% and could include training the trainer opportunities at our growing start-up sites across the country.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Must have knowledge of warehouse processes such as receiving, putaway, picking, shipping, and inventory control.
- Experience operating a variety of MHE equipment including sit-down forklift, reach truck and pallet jacket.
- Must be versed in various RF methods and processes.
- Experience training or mentoring in warehouse environment required
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills are required
- Solid communication and customer service experience
- Positive, enthusiastic and passionate about the warehouse and transportation industry
- Ability to understand and convey business issues and technical concepts
- Strong sense of team mentality and reliability
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite
