BELLAMAR LANCASTER IS HIRING FOR A RESIDENT CARE DIRECTOR!!  This position is a salaried, on call, and weekend availability position.  This is NOT a remote job.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures care team is completing all daily tasks and that it is up to Bellamar Lancaster's standards. 
  • Make the care team monthly schedule and ensure that it is posted for the staff.
  • Leads a team of care managers and Med techs.
  • Assists residents in the day-to-day activities that become more difficult to complete with age and coordinate the move-in of new residents. 
  • Makes all residents, whether new move-ins, or those who are already established, feel at home and lets them know there is someone who can and will help them with any problems they may have.
  • Identifies residents with particular physical or mental needs and recommends necessary services. Follows up with visits and phone calls until situation is resolved or improved.
  • Coordinates visiting physician's patient schedule. Works with Home Health Care nurses, hospice nurses, as appropriate.
  • Maintains awareness of ill and/or depressed residents. Visits personally and by phone.
  • Maintains a “Hot List” of residents who may need monitoring for physical and/or emotional problems.
  • Attends monthly Birthday/Anniversary resident parties and Newcomers Wine and Cheese Reception when you can.
  • Assists in event marketing at the Executive Directors request. 
  • Attends daily stand up at 9am, weekly 1:1 meetings with the Executive Director, weekly Marketing meetings with all directors, and attends monthly all staff meeting. At which you lead the Care section of the meeting.
  • Maintains all Resident records which includes the updating of all pertinent resident file information (emergency, medical, etc.) and updates this information as needed. Executive Director will review periodically.
  • Maintains the med rooms and med carts.  Ensuring that all meds are accounted for, stored correctly, and destroyed when needed correctly.
  • Advises residents of community resources and professional services in the building and the area.
  • Creates a relationship with the residents by observing meal times, during social events and monthly resident meetings when your schedule allows and by Executive Directors request.
  • Ensures that all resident concerns and problems are relayed to the proper department and follow up to ensure finalization.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director on hiring, training, and termination of care staff as needed.
  • Works closely with Generations Program Director to ensure all the care of all memory care residents is at Bellamar Lancaster standards. 




Qualifications:

  • High School degree is required.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse or Social Worker preferred.
  • Prior experience with seniors required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with EMAR systems preferred.
  • Experience with making a schedule for a team of 15+ preferred.
  • Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well.
