DevOps Engineer – Remote

What are we looking for?
As a DevOps Engineer with Intertek Alchemy, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable AWS environments. You'll partner with product owners, developers, and operations teams to automate workflows, improve CI/CD pipelines, strengthen monitoring and security practices, and support the overall software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
Designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) for production and development environments.
Implementing CI/CD pipelines that enable seamless, low-downtime deployments.
Automating infrastructure builds using CloudFormation, CDK, and scripting in YAML, JSON, or Python.
Enhancing system monitoring to detect and resolve performance issues proactively.
Supporting developers with infrastructure needs across staging, development, and sandbox environments.
Performing backup and recovery operations, while resolving complex AWS-related technical issues.
Collaborating with management, product owners, and engineering teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Documenting solutions and procedures to support knowledge-sharing across the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of technology experience with at least 2 years as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or SRE in a public cloud environment.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Control Tower, etc.).
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools.
Proficiency in scripting (YAML, JSON, Python).
Working knowledge of GitHub and version control best practices.
Understanding of PHP, MySQL, and Snowflake.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.
Preferred qualifications:
AWS certifications such as Certified DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator, or Advanced Networking.
Experience migrating SaaS applications from on-premises to cloud environments.
