What are we looking for?
The Technician I - Safety is responsible for supporting engineers for testing and equipment/lab maintenance. This position will travel at least 25% of the time.
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $24-$30/hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:
- Set up tests, test equipment and test apparatus.
- Prepare test samples.
- Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude
- Diligent safety practices, have knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management
- Work closely with engineers and take directions to complete projects within certain policies and procedures
- Daily cleanup and maintenance of labs, testing equipment, samples, and organize all tools and materials
- Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Obtaining and recording test data in accordance with standards
- Performing basic analysis of test data and routine calculations
- Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Entry Level - No experience required
- Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook
- Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
- Strong hands-on skills. Ability to use basic shop equipment and various hand tools to build up the setup with wood or hardware
- Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
- Customer-focused and quality-driven
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
- Able to travel at least 25% of the time
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Trade school certification or Associates degree in Electrical and/or mechanical field
- NRTL safety certification experience
- Experience with PCB soldering, electrical wiring and/or plumbing/HVAC system
- 1+ years of relatable experience in the certification industry
