The Energy Storage Quality Auditor performs quality assurance inspections and audits at battery and energy storage manufacturing facilities and project sites. This role focuses on verifying production quality, documenting findings, and supporting senior engineers and project managers with accurate data and reporting.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct Factory Audits (FA), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), In-Process Monitoring (IPM), and Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI) for energy storage systems and components.

  • Perform visual inspections, data collection, and verification of quality processes for battery cells, modules, racks, and containerized units.

  • Document test results, photographs, and quality findings in standardized reports.

  • Support engineers and project teams by providing field data, inspection notes, and process feedback.

  • Ensure that all QA/QC checklists, reporting templates, and procedures are followed accurately.

  • Work with internal teams and clients to ensure safe and compliant inspection activities.

  • Use measurement tools and testing devices such as multimeters, IR cameras, or torque wrenches under supervision or standard procedure.

  • Communicate professionally with client and factory representatives during audits and inspections.

Travel: Up to 80% (domestic and international)

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or associate degree; additional technical or vocational training in quality assurance, manufacturing, or electrical systems preferred.

  • 2+ years of quality assurance, manufacturing inspection, or field audit experience in an industrial, electrical, or renewable energy environment.

  • Understanding of quality systems, production line processes, and inspection procedures.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, QA/QC, or field service environment with frequent travel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general data management tools.

  • Ability to work independently and manage inspection schedules under limited supervision.

  • Comfortable working in factory and outdoor environments, using PPE as required.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis (current or future visa sponsorship not available).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience auditing or inspecting battery manufacturing, energy storage systems, or electrical assemblies (strong plus).

  • Familiarity with testing tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, or infrared cameras.

  • Experience with QA documentation and visual inspection techniques.

  • OSHA 10/30 certification, fall protection, or other safety training desirable.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs or ladders, and work in variable temperature conditions.
