What are we looking for?
This Regional Chief position is responsible for providing engineering expertise in all standards covered in Intertek technical categories assigned and for communicating with management, sales, legal counsel, clients, accreditors, AHJs and others as needed to accomplish all duties.

What you'll do:

- Decisions on, and Interpretations of, Test Results – As needed, assist the Reviewer and Lead Engineer in making the final decision when test data does not appear to meet acceptance criteria.
- Standards Development/Intelligence Gathering –Ensure coverage for standards development activities that will allow Intertek to identify business development opportunities, as well as maintain contact with key technical personnel at major companies. Coordinate such duties with other technical staff.
- Training – Coordinate specialized training for the technical teams in the related area and ensure it is implemented.
- Engineering Advisory – Participate as needed/directed with other chief engineers, technical leads and management.
- Special Programs/Projects – Participate in, or direct, special programs or projects with key clients (including visits to manufacturer's sites) to develop Intertek's position and stature in the industry, or with that client.
- Intertek Performance Verification Programs – Provide technical direction and assistance with qualification of Intertek sites to conduct testing and other operations associated with programs within discipline.
- Third Party Certification Programs – Provide technical assistance in the development of Third Party Certification programs.
- CB Scheme – Support site qualification and re-assessments to CB requirements.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in technical field
- 10+ years directly related experience in controls, systems engineering and functional safety
- Valid Driver's license and reliable driving record
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate up to 25%
- Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written and presentation formats
