Retailer On-Site Program Account Manager – Retailer's Office in NYC and Remote Working

Intertek's Softlines Testing services enable retailers, brands and manufacturers of textiles, apparel, fashion accessories, footwear and home textiles to ensure the safety and quality of their products. What are we looking for?
The Retailer On-Site Program Account Manager is responsible for providing QA Testing, Inspection and Technical support to Retailer, by ensuring that day-to-day client requests, problems, issues and complaints are handled efficiently and professionally. Provide program administration and effective communication between Retailer and the Intertek Global Network at the site of the Retailer. Candidate requires textile product integrity experience. This position will travel at least 50% of the time to the Retailer's office in NYC.
Shift/Schedule: The position is a full-time position working three days at the Retailer's office in New York City and the remaining days will be working remotely.
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $70,000 - $74,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:
- Responsible for effective communication and follow through between Retailer and Intertek.
- Monitor and work with Intertek offices worldwide to ensure that all Retailer Apparel testing needs, and procedures are met.
- Ensure laboratories are performing testing in accordance with Retailer' specified test methods and test protocols, including turn time requirements and reporting procedures.
- Continually monitor lab turn times and monitor test volume on Retailer programs.
- Coordinate global correlation programs between Retailer and Intertek laboratories. Responsible for issue resolution on correlation issues as they arise.
- Assist Retailer managers in developing and updating specifications and procedures for new and existing products.
- Keep current on all regulatory, safety, and quality performance requirements and communicate relevant information to Retailer.
- Assist Retailer on projects and assignments, such as systems updates and product & material development procedures. Assist in the training of Retailer' employees on such documents. Assist Retailer on technical and safety presentations when needed.
- Coordinates and attends Retailer' seasonal product line reviews and participates in product development meetings to identify potential issues and contribute technical recommendations as requested.
- Provides technical assistance to assist and resolving technical issues
- Track test/audit/inspection results as requested by Retailer including filing distribution, processing, and follow-up
- Maintaining and updating internal work instruction on a regular basis when client program updates are made. Informing and educating global lab teams with related updates.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the production and quality aspects of fabric & apparel/ non-apparel.
- Knowledge of testing standards and functional textile and apparel
- Strong practical skills in textile and apparel testing/ hard lines testing, and data analysis (including physical and chemical properties testing, and physiological implication evaluation)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to analyze problems, interpret information and identify solutions
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum educational level: a recognized degree in Textiles and Clothing/Material Science/ Chemistry/Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience required: 2 or more years of relevant work experience
