About the team:

The Intralinks SCM team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting DevOps processes utilized by a global team of developers. These responsibilities include administration of the various tools, infrastructure management of the tools hosted by the team, development of new products, and working with developers to address challenges. The team interfaces with our parent company, SS&C, to implement and support tools hosted by central SS&C teams.

About the role:

In this role, you are expected to work with limited supervision to research and implement solutions for source control, automation, CI/CD processes, and other tools supporting the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). The position reports to the DevOps Manager/Architect who will provide direction and guidance to reach the team's goals.
 

Your responsibilities:

• Promotes a DevOps culture in the engineering organization.
• Design and implement DevOps processes supporting the entire SDLC.
• Support users of the team's tools and processes.
• Mentor junior members of the team.
   

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent).
• Basic knowledge of Linux including networking, security, and file systems.
• Ability to script/code using different languages, such as Groovy, Python, and Bash.
• A working understanding of use and administration of CI tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, and GitHub.
• Experience with build management tools like Gradle, Maven, NPM, and Debian packaging.
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for building and deployment of applications.
• Skills in diagnosis of problems involving distributed components.
• A desire to learn new tools and processes

It would be great if you also:

• Have a deeper understanding of the architecture and coding of Jenkins pipelines using the Jenkins DSL.
• Understanding of best practices in unit and integration testing.
• Have a working understanding of various programming languages like Java and Javascript.
