Director of Web Strategy & Operations

Job Summary

SS&C Intralinks is seeking an experienced Director of Web Strategy and Operations to manage and evolve the Intralinks digital ecosystem, which includes a newly-designed Intralinks.com website, international localized site versions, and an AI-driven chat experience, to deliver a more personalized, dynamic experience to our visitors.

The selected candidate will lead a team that includes developers, an SEO expert, and a conversion rate optimization expert while collaborating closely with the creative teams, growth marketing and product marketing to deliver a cohesive, high-performing digital presence.


The right leader will be able to create and drive a strategic vision to achieve business outcomes, while balancing day-to-day execution, team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.  They will need a combination of digital marketing acumen, strategic planning experience, technical expertise, user-experience best practices and project management skills to achieve the best outcomes.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead developers, an SEO specialist, and a Conversion Optimization expert to execute website strategy, deliver day-to-day needs and meet performance goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the creative and design teams to align visual and functional elements of the website with brand standards and user needs.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for website-related initiatives, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration across growth marketing, product marketing, IT and sales teams.
  • Develop, manage, and execute project plans for website updates and new initiatives, delivering on time and with regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead the web team in establishing visitor recognition and dynamic content serving capabilities that deliver a highly-relevant and personalized experience for visitors.


Digital Experience & Analytics

  • Utilize Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and other analytics tools to monitor analyze and report regularly on website performance, traffic trends, and engagement metrics.
  • Leverage data analysis to identify opportunities and challenges and create the plan to take the appropriate action.
  • Guide the SEO efforts to enhance organic search rankings, traffic, and visibility.
  • Oversee testing, experimentation and conversion rate optimization initiatives to improve user journeys, engage visitors and deliver marketing qualified leads that turn into opportunities.


Technology & Innovation

  • Oversee technical aspects of website operations, including integrations and plugin management.
  • Leverage a working knowledge of PHP to guide and support development efforts as needed.
  • Manage website development projects, overseeing new feature implementation, design updates, and technical optimization.
  • Maintain website governance, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with legal and IT teams to safeguard data privacy and website security.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies as needed.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in website leadership and successfully delivering business outcomes.
  • Proven experience managing a diverse team including developers, SEO specialists, Conversion experts and marketing professionals.
  • Direct experience implementing and managing chat technology.
  • Working knowledge of web visitor identification and personalization tools and technology.

Skills

  • A proven ability to communicate plans and initiatives to all levels of the organization including senior executives, cross-functional collaborators and executional teams.
  • Expertise in content management, CDN and serving platforms (Drupal, Akami, Acquia) and related tools (VWO or Optimizely, SiteImprove, Search Console, SimilarWeb, etc)
  • Experience implementing chat technology to effectively engage visitors and transition them to the appropriate live parties.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Tag Manager, and other analytics tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, Conversion, and UX/UI principles.
  • Basic coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), with a working knowledge of PHP as a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Understanding of website compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ADA).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills to drive collaboration and execution.
