TITLE: Iowa Falls Truck Wash Manager
REPORTS TO: Truck Wash Supervisor

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
- Lead role for dryer operations, shag operations, and trailer parking at the Iowa Falls Wash Facility. This includes but is not limited to directing wash flow, tractor and trailer inspections, general biosecurity, ad hoc maintenance, and caretaking as needed. This is a full-time position, and reports to the Wash Facility Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works split shift Approximately 1000-1800 at Iowa Falls Inner Sanctum Wash
- Lead dryer operator, responsible for ensuring timely flow of trailers from the washes, into the dryers, and out and parked appropriately
- Drive semi-tractor and trailer on grounds to move in and out of dryer bays and in the parking lot as needed.
- Assists in ensuring proper cleanliness levels and inspection of all trailers, semi-tractors, and supply trucks post-wash and dry.
- Ensure facilities, trailers, and all vehicles are equipped with supplies and function properly.
- General supplies and disinfectants; wood shavings in dryers
- Proper Equipment (sort boards, paddles, etc) for loading and unloading pigs
- Ability to readily identify equipment repair needs and report up-stream
- Assist in Dryer Maintenance when needed
- Conduct quality audits via the Safety Culture app as required by management.

- To maintain biosecurity standards, employees working on a farm are prohibited from cohabitating with employees from other production departments or support teams that access farms other than those assigned to their department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dryer Operators and/or some management of contracted personnel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position is performed indoors and outdoors.
- This position may require some tasks to be performed in extreme outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
- The environment you will be working in can have nuisance levels of gases and dust, particularly in the winter months.
PHYSICALITY REQUIREMENTS
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
- Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds and climb in and out of trailers that are 48 inches in height.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- This is an on-site position requiring all daily job duties to be performed in person at designated Iowa Select Farms locations, including office, warehouse, and farm sites, based on business needs and company policy.
- This is a full-time position that will require a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Expected days and hours of operation include day-shift hours Monday-Fridays
- Additional availability may be required during staffing challenges.
TRAVEL
- Local travel might be occasionally required for this position through the utilization of a company vehicle.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Agricultural background and/or knowledge of Industry is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with fluency in both written and verbal communication is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
