We have immediate opportunities for Azure Infrastructure and Operations Expert to join our team as Customer Engineer (CE). This is a remote (home-based), salaried role with great benefits and a fantastic team.
As a CE, you'll help enterprise customers modernize and scale their foundational cloud services. In this senior, customer-facing role, you'll engage directly with IT and business leaders to shape resilient, secure, and high-performance Azure environments — from virtual machines and storage to networking and backup.
You'll play a critical role in helping customers achieve operational excellence across their Azure footprint, while accelerating cloud adoption and driving value from their Microsoft investments.
Location: Remote US
Salary Range: $100K – $110K based on experience
Primary Work Includes:
- Standard Product Workshops & Training – Deliver enablement sessions on Azure IaaS migration, Arc management, and PowerShell automation
- In-Depth Product Reviews / Whiteboard (Chalk Talk) Sessions – Lead discussions on hybrid architecture, automation patterns, and governance controls
- Infrastructure Health Checks / Assessments – Evaluate server deployments and IaaS environments for performance, security, and compliance
- Operational Reviews of Implementations – Ensure hybrid solutions deliver on availability, automation, and cost efficiency objectives
- Participate in the development of technical strategy and implementation of Azure Virtual Machines, ensuring scalability, security, and cost optimization for compute-intensive workloads.
- Advise and consult with customers regarding the optimal Azure Networking solutions (VNETs, NSGs, load balancers, VPN/ExpressRoute) to meet enterprise connectivity and security needs.
- Guide customers through Azure Storage design, including Blob, File, and Disk storage, ensuring performance, durability, and redundancy.
- Provide guidance to customers on the development of Azure Backup and Site Recovery (ASR) strategies for enterprise-grade resiliency and disaster recovery.
- Advise customers regarding critical cloud infrastructure modernization, helping customers move from legacy systems to cloud-native and hybrid operating models.
- Consult with customers regarding end-to-end technical governance, resolving blockers, and accelerating Azure consumption through architectural best practices.
- Collaborate with Microsoft teams, partners, and customer stakeholders to deliver aligned, business-driven cloud outcomes.

The Experience You'll Need to Excel in the Role:
- 15+ years of overall IT experience
- 7 + years of hands-on experience in Azure infrastructure engineering or similar cloud roles.
- Deep understanding of enterprise cloud architecture, particularly around compute, storage, and network design.
- Experience driving modernization and migration projects from on-prem to Azure.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and advise stakeholders from engineers to CIOs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts to business leaders.
