JDA TSG has immediate opportunities for Windows Server Platform Engineer to join our team working as Customer Engineers (CE's). Positions are full time salaried roles offering comprehensive benefits. A CE's time is dedicated to working with some of the largest, and most sophisticated companies in the world, usually F1000 companies. CE's work with and assist customers in building, deploying, operating, and optimizing complex enterprise environments. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction, deployment, adoption, and support of Windows Server initiatives. 

Salary Range: $95 - $110K based on experience

US Citizenship required for this role

Travel: CE's are home based, delivering services predominately via Microsoft Teams, however, some travel may be required.

Primary Work Includes:

  • Standard Product Work Shops – Training
  • In-Depth Product Reviews via White Board “Chalk Talk” Sessions
  • Administer Health Checks and Risk Assessments
  • Post Operational Review of Product Implementations
  • Product Upgrade and or Migration Assessments
  • Systems Performance Reviews
  • Act as the primary technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical support and problem resolution

The experience you'll need to excel in the role:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments, including DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group Policy, Clustering, Terminal Services, and LDAP
  • Provide Level 3 infrastructure support and execute project tasks for systems and applications
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to scope, plan, and deliver engagements with customers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows Server environments
  • Provide architectural guidance and technical expertise to enhance customer experience

Core Windows Server Skills:
  • Windows Server Management: Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments
  • DNS: Configure and manage Domain Name System (DNS) settings
  • DHCP: Set up and manage Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services
  • IIS: Install, configure, and manage Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Group Policy: Create and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to control the working environment of user accounts and computer accounts.
  • Clustering: Implement and manage failover clustering to ensure high availability and reliability
  • LDAP: Work with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for directory services
  • Windows Performance: Monitor and optimize Windows Server performance using tools like Perfmon and WPA
  • PowerShell and Automations: Utilize PowerShell for scripting and automating administrative tasks
  • RDS: Manage Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
  • Storage: Manage and optimize storage solutions for Windows Server environments
  • Patching: Implement and manage patching processes to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure
  • Security Best Practices: Apply security best practices to protect Windows Server environments from threats and vulnerabilities

Optional Skills:
  • Configure and manage Windows Firewall settings to ensure network security
  • Understand and manage networking concepts and configurations within Windows Server environments
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Defender suite
  • Understanding of drivers and filter drivers
  • Security best practices and implementation for Microsoft technologies
  • Knowledge of commonly used security agents, including anti-virus software and intrusion detection systems
  • Blue Screen Debugging: Diagnose and resolve issues causing Blue Screen errors

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Systems Architecture, Administration, Operations, Software support, or IT consulting
  • 8+ years of on-premises support or consulting work for an enterprise customer base
  • 8+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft certifications are preferred
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Communications, or Information Technology is highly preferred (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
