Kamehameha Schools is seeking a full‑time Audience Engagement Specialist.
This role is responsible for the hands‑on execution of email and digital campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, bringing a strong marketing and communications mindset together with platform expertise to deliver timely, high‑quality audience communications.

Job Summary

Supports the execution and optimization of communications and marketing initiatives within Ke Kula o Kamehameha (KS) audience engagement platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Works collaboratively with team and cross‑functional communications partners to build, send and evaluate campaigns that strengthen relationships with KS audiences. Focuses on day‑to‑day platform operations, campaign delivery and performance monitoring to ensure timely, effective and well‑executed communications aligned with organizational goals and KS brand standards. 

Essential Responsibilities

Campaign execution and platform operations 

  • Build, test, schedule and deploy email and digital campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. 

  • Configure and maintain journeys, automations, audience segments and data extensions under established standards. 

  • Support execution of both external marketing and internal communications campaigns. 

  • Ensure campaigns follow brand, accessibility and quality guidelines. 

 

Audience data and performance monitoring 

  • Monitor campaign results and prepare performance summaries using platform analytics and reporting tools. 

  • Assist with audience segmentation and list management to support targeted communications. 

  • Help maintain clean, accurate and current audience data within the platform. 

 

Collaboration and support 

  • Work collaboratively with team on campaign execution and platform workflows. 

  • Coordinate with communications, marketing and Enterprise Technology partners to support campaign needs. 

  • Respond to routine requests for campaign builds, updates and reporting within defined processes. 

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related digital engagement role. 

  • A deep understanding of the capabilities and functionality of audience engagement platforms to optimize the platforms, manage daily operations and provide support. 

  • Ability to translate communications and marketing needs into journeys, data flows, automations and queries in the audience engagement platform. 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex marketing needs into functional solutions in an audience engagement platform. 

  • Experience with channel analytics and reporting. 

  • Ability to utilize Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools (e.g. Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio or similar tools). 

  • Exposure to A/B testing, personalization or audience segmentation strategies. 

  • Familiarity with data quality practices in marketing or communications platforms. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Competence in management of digital assets. 

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with ability to foster relationships and collaborate effectively. 

  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and manage large, complex projects. 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Hawaiian culture, language and worldview as it relates to the operations of KS as a Native Hawaiian organization. 

  • Familiarity with KS' mission, vision and lines of business. 

  • Relevant Salesforce certifications, such as Marketing Cloud Admin, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, and/or Salesforce Administrator.  

  • Active member of the Salesforce Trailblazer community, and up-to-date on the latest Salesforce technology. 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently sit, perform desk based computer tasks and grasp light/fine manipulation.

  • Occasionally stand/walk, write by hand, and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach/work above shoulder, grasp forcefully.

Working Conditions

  • This position may involve traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business. 

  • Work is conducted in an office/school environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.

  • Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday at normal business hours but evening and weekend hours may be required to meet goals and objectives.

68,800.00 - 94,300.00 Annual

Based on the compensation range provided below, salaries are commensurate with job-related experience, skills and competencies, education, internal equity, length of work year, and other organizational needs.
