Description
Provides chiropractor services and other related work, including the care of workers compensation patients as required by Keck Medicine of USC and its USC Care Medical Group. The Chiropractor specializing in workers' compensation provides high quality clinical care to patients with work related injuries, focusing on restoring function, reducing pain, and supporting safe return to work outcomes. This role performs detailed evaluations and manages ongoing care within regulatory guidelines. The Chiropractor maintains accurate and timely documentation required for workers' compensation cases and collaborates closely with Keck Medicine of USC physicians, adjusters, case managers, employers, and an interdisciplinary clinical team.
Essential Duties:
- Obtains detailed and accurate medical histories from patients. Performs appropriate physical examinations, delineates problems, and records the information.
- Develops and implements patient management plans and the recording of progress notes.
- Performs and/or interprets radiological procedures used to identify pathophysiological processes.
- Performs chiropractic manipulations and procedures within the chiropractic scope of practice as delineated by the Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations, Division 4, Section 301.
- Works with physician on care plan for workers compensation patients.
- Stresses health education and preventive medical care in contacts with patients.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Req Doctorate Doctor of Chiropractic, D.C.
- Req 2 years Full-time or part-time direct patient care experience.
- Req Experience in medical administration of clinical program.
- Req Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery.
- Req Familiarity with advancements in medical technology and current know-how.
- Req Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pref 5 years Medical practice outside training.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Req Doctor of Chiropractic, D.C. Possession of the legal requirements for the Practice of Chiropractors in California as determined by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
- Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only).
The annual base salary range for this position is $121,680.00 - $200,772.00.
