Join our Financial Planning & Analysis team for a home office-based assignment in Portugal!

 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role is part of a small group responsible for maintaining various financial reporting systems to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting, as well as supporting other ad hoc projects.

 

The Senior Financial Coordinator is accountable for: 

  • Review and approve cost center requests to support the business while enforcing standards.
  • Maintain data logs and reconcile activity across systems.
  • Interface with developers to discuss needs, troubleshoot issues, and advocate for users.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to answer questions, train new users, and review and design process changes.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated applications and coordinating information requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist in system implementation projects.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls.

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business is required.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is a plus.
