The Business Analyst & AI Developer Intern will support the analysis and enhancement of business processes by leveraging artificial intelligence and automation technologies. This role bridges analytical thinking with foundational coding to help identify inefficiencies, experiment with AI-driven solutions, and turn data-driven insights into practical business value.

 

Key Competencies & Responsibilities

  • AI & Coding Curiosity:
    Apply basic programming skills (JavaScript, Python, SQL) to prototype AI tools, automate repetitive tasks, and assist in the exploration of machine learning models.
  • Process Improvement Mindset:
    Analyze current workflows to detect bottlenecks and opportunities where AI or automation can drive improvements.
  • Experimental Problem-Solving:
    Eagerly test, iterate, and “break” things to learn best practices for implementing and debugging AI-driven solutions.
  • Data Analysis & Preparation:
    Gather, clean, and analyze data as a foundation for AI projects; visualize and interpret findings to recommend actionable changes.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, share insights, and deliver updates on progress.
  • Continuous Learning:
    Stay curious about the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and business automation; eager to learn and apply new tools and methods.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Document process maps, code, and findings to ensure learnings are shared and scalable.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program (or equivalent) with a business-focused degree (e.g., economics, finance, accounting, business analytics, human resources, etc.)
  • Highly motivated and adaptable, with a curiosity to learn real-world business and financial concepts
  • Self-driven, resourceful, independent, and willing to take initiative 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative style to working 1:1 or as a team
  • Basic project management and research capability 
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and high technical learning agility
  • Can maintain confidentiality and discretion 
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in Michigan – sponsorship and relocation / housing are not offered with these positions

Start Date: June 1st, 2026

End Date: August 14th, 2026

Hybrid – 2-3 days in the Troy HQ Office

 

Base pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour.  Final hourly compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
