Job Title: Accounting Clerk II

Pay:$25 hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 
Location: Rosharon, TX 77583

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk II to support our finance department with account reconciliation, financial reporting, and clerical accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of accounting systems and terminology and be comfortable working with both manual and automated tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Balance and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Generate financial and statistical reports/statements from accounts payable and receivable ledgers.

  • Verify the accuracy of financial documents such as vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and payments.

  • May process and handle physical cash: sort, count, and wrap money.

  • Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, filing, and organizing financial documents.

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with accounting terminology, practices, and concepts.

  • Experience with manual and/or automated accounting systems.

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, or mainframe accounting software.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.

Important Notes:

This position does not include responsibilities related to:

  • Auditing accounts to identify or correct past errors or omissions.

  • Preparing final financial statements for audits.

  • Reporting year-end totals to IRS, unemployment compensation, or other tax-related entities.
