Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a knack for managing accounts? Join our dynamic team where your contributions will be vital in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our financial operations. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to ensure our payments and transactions are handled efficiently and accurately.

Job Type: Full-Time/ temporary that could become permanent
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Shift: Work 8 hour shifts, Customer is flexible on start and end time (core hours 9am-3pm)
Must be able to work one Sunday per month for month close activities

Roles and Responsibilities
•    Process and Manage Payments: Handle incoming payments and provide related accounting support.
•    Validate and Reconcile: Download, review, and validate daily lockbox data; reconcile discrepancies.
•    Data Entry: Enter wire transfer receipts and manual check receipts into the accounting system.
•    Bank Deposits: Prepare bank deposits and keep Excel worksheets updated.
•    Account Maintenance: Maintain customer receivable and vendor payable accounts.
•    Customer Assistance: Resolve invoice queries and payment issues for customers.
•    Cash Application: Apply cash to proper invoices and follow up on short pays or discrepancies.
•    Invoice Management: Generate and process various types of invoices.
•    Month-End Close: Conduct month-end close activities, ensure accurate application of cash, and prepare reports.
•    Credit and Refunds: Provide credit references and process refunds of customer credit balances.
•    Correspondence: Respond to vendor and customer inquiries.

Qualifications & Skills
•    Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable, general bookkeeping, and accounting procedures.
•    Software Proficiency: Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Oracle or SAP experience is preferred
•    Data Management: Strong data entry and management skills.
•    Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities.
•    Experience: 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
•    Team Player: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
