Location: Dallas, Texas (off LBJ Freeway)
M-F, 8am - 5pm / fully on-site
Pay: $25-30hr / Temp-to-hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collections Management:
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to facilitate timely payment.
  • Contact clients via phone, email, or written correspondence to resolve outstanding balance inquiries.
  • Negotiate payment terms and arrangements with clients to ensure successful debt recovery.
  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activities, including payments received, outstanding balances, and communication logs.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to collections, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable and collections performance, providing insights to management.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts receivable balances and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address client issues and improve collection processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and timely collections.
  • Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding collections and debt recovery.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the collections function.
  • Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
  • General Ledger Accounting: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Accounts Payable: Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Cash Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.
  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations.
  • Month-End Closing: Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or collections, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
