Job Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Contract Length: 1+ month (through mid-July)
Location: Algonquin, IL 100% onsite 

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a temporary contract basis through mid-July. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, values accuracy, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be able to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices for timely payment

  • Prepare Board of Education approval reports for AP check runs

  • Generate required system reports to meet Federal, State, and local compliance (e.g., FOIA, audits)

  • Review and process AP check runs

  • Assist district staff with accounts payable processing and procedures

  • Provide general customer service with professionalism and discretion

  • Perform office duties such as filing, data entry, digitizing documents, and maintaining accurate records

  • Respond courteously and efficiently to inquiries and requests

  • Handle confidential information with professionalism

  • Support district administration in implementing policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Previous experience in accounts payable
  • Experience with Check runs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

  • Proficiency in data entry and office software

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
