Administrative Assistant I – Administrative Finance Support Specialist
Location: Newington, CT (On-site)
Hourly Rate: $27/hr
Schedule: Part-time to start (3 days/week), with potential to transition to full-time
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible on which days)
This is a global organization headquartered in Sweden, with its only U.S. location based in Newington, Connecticut. The Newington office supports sales, warehouse operations, and administrative functions and consists of approximately 15 employees. The company offers a collaborative, small-team environment with the stability of a global organization.
Position SummaryThe Administrative Finance Support Specialist will support day-to-day finance and general administrative operations. This role works closely with the local Finance lead and broader leadership team. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting finance-related functions.
This position will begin as part-time and has the potential to grow into a full-time role as business needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities-
Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions

Support ACH payments, invoicing, and journal entry/bookkeeping activities

Provide administrative support to the Finance function

Manage and monitor shared email inboxes; respond to customer inquiries and route requests appropriately

Assist with data entry, record keeping, and documentation

Support general office and administrative tasks as needed

Work closely with the local Finance lead and leadership team

4–5 years of finance-related and/or administrative experience

Strong preference for candidates with a stable employment history

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a small office environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with finance or HR systems is a plus (Rippling and Avalara preferred)
