Description

Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a Technical Advisor (Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing) with expertise in biopharmaceutical and nucleic acid manufacturing to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). This position supports the Agency's mission to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone through cutting-edge research and development projects designed for high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. This remote position may involve domestic travel (~10-20%) to support the Program.

This is a long-term contract position which offers:

KEY TASKS
(1) Support an Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Program Manager developing breakthrough technologies in gene and cell therapies
(2) Assist, support, and provide advice to the Program Manager to further the development and progress of new and existing programs.
(3) Search and review industrial, scientific, and technical literature in areas of product development and manufacturing of DNA, RNA, and viral vectors for therapies.
(4) Analyze technical, scientific, regulatory, and technoeconomic data with respect to novelty, rigor, and robustness
(5) Conduct thorough technical scientific evaluation of the current R&D landscape to identify gaps in research portfolios and address critical needs that are aligned with the ARPA-H mission.
(6) Compare and contrast technical approaches and innovations.
(7) Write and review technical documents and solicitations.
(8) Read and translate complex information to develop team and executive level briefings for technical and non-technical audiences
(9) Perform basic administrative tasks such as collecting, sorting, analyzing, and writing internal programmatic reports/briefings on relevant topics to support ARPA-H and technical efforts

KEY REQUIREMENTS
(1) Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology or related scientific discipline
(2) Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the biopharmaceutical or biomanufacturing industry.
(3) Cell and molecular biology experience that includes genetic engineering techniques for mammalian cells, stem cell differentiation techniques, QC analytical techniques, and/or assay development for cell and gene therapies.
(4) Experience with IND-enabling studies and knowledge of current FDA regulations preferred
(5) Experience working in CDMO, GLP, and/or GMP environments preferred
(6) Familiarity with federal research regulations and experience supporting ARPA-like programs (e.g., DARPA, IARPA, ARPA-E) or U.S. DoD advanced development programs desired
(7) Availability to travel domestically as needed to fully support program manager and program operations
(8) US Citizenship and/or lawful permanent residency is required as per contract requirements to obtain Public Trust clearance.
