ASSEMBLER II (Mechanical)
- Location: Dubois, PA 15801
- Pay rate $17 per hour
- Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 2-2-3 rotation schedule (work two days, off two days, work three days, then rotate)
- Additional information:
- Likely to convert to FT
- Steel-toe shoes required
- Eye and ear protection provided by the client must be worn at all times.

This entry-level role focuses on the assembly and testing of gas meters within a manufacturing environment. The position prioritizes safety, technical precision, and physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Testing: Using hand tools, power tools, and jigs to assemble mechanical and electrical components (including PVC welding and thread taping).

Documentation: Recording work hours in the ERP system (ShopVue) and completing all production-related paperwork.

Quality & Maintenance: Reading assembly drawings, following strict safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean workspace through 5S audits and housekeeping.

Continuous Improvement: Participating in processes to improve efficiency and meeting customer expectations.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: 1–3 years of experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude (via previous jobs, tech school, or hobbies).

Technical Skills: Ability to read simple layouts and operate a computer.

Stamina: Ability to stand and work on concrete floors for up to 12 hours.

Labor: Lifting up to 30 lbs, climbing stairs, and frequent bending, reaching, and pulling.

Environment: Exposure to dust, dirt, and high noise levels (requiring hearing protection).
