Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembly Specialist for a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Windsor, CT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling preformed sheet metal parts, performing mechanical assembly, and pressure testing valves and similar components using a variety of tools. This is a physically active role that requires the ability to read assembly drawings and follow detailed work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and pressure test valves and mechanical components.

  • Use hand and power tools, including drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, and high-pressure equipment.

  • Read and interpret assembly and sub-assembly drawings and work orders.

  • Maintain accurate daily logs of work completed.

  • Ensure a clean and organized work area.

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of mechanical assembly experience preferred.

  • Experience working with sheet metal or similar mechanical components is a plus.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.

  • Capable of working in confined spaces or on uneven terrain.

  • Proficient with measurement tools such as tape measures or scales.

  • Comfortable using computers or tablets to track work.

  • Must be reliable, safety-minded, and able to work both independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Familiarity with high-pressure testing equipment

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
