Precision Assembler   Job Description The Assembly Technician plays a critical role in assembling our family of equipment, ensuring the highest quality work ethic and character. This position is primarily a first-shift role Compensation

  • Pay Range: $18 - $27 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3 pm, with a 1-hour paid lunch.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, layout drawings, and electrical prints.
  • Measure with micrometers, feeler gauges, and understand tolerances on assembly prints.
  • Understand pneumatic circuits, cylinders, valves, regulators, and controls.
  • Handle threaded and welded pipe, valves and fittings, and related hardware for installation.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using physical strength for lifting, bending, kneeling, and overhead work.
  • Document labor hours electronically or on written production labor logs, complete production and quality forms, and report discrepancies with work order material BOMs.
  • Run conduit, mount junction boxes, and pull wires to various electrical devices and motors; terminate wires as required per electrical drawing.
  • Participate in team continuous improvement projects, track required metrics, and participate in daily meetings.
  • Operate and lift objects with overhead cranes utilizing slings, straps, or other devices.
Working Environment
  • The job is performed in a factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
  • Noise levels can be loud; PPE (personal protective equipment) may be required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE without exception.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be in good physical shape able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent forklift operation, including mounting and dismounting from the truck.
  • Mandatory use of forklift seatbelt.
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications Mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks.
  • Independent self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong team player, work ethic, and commitment to quality.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends when required.
  • Follow and support company safety practices and policies.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Desirable
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings.
