Job Title: Production Assembly Technician
Location: Bolton, CT
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (overtime as needed) Position Summary

The Production Assembly Technician is responsible for operating winding machines, performing hand winding, and completing part-assembly functions to meet production and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing goals in an efficient, effective, and sustainable manner.

Key Responsibility Areas

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing assigned steps toward finishing electro-mechanical assemblies

  • Following procedures as directed by the Supervisor and through digital instructions (e.g., iPad)

  • Reviewing own work to ensure quality and consistency

  • Meeting production output and quality targets

  • Communicating frequently regarding job progress

  • Executing tasks in accordance with the Quality Management System

  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the Department Lead or Supervisor

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, candidates should possess the following capabilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • Previous manufacturing experience with small assemblies (preferred)

  • Ability to read design drawings and use a microscope (preferred)

  • Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies (preferred)

  • Solder certification and familiarity with J-STD-001 (preferred)

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Good mechanical aptitude and basic math proficiency

  • Strong hand–eye coordination and good eyesight

  • Ability to work independently on detailed tasks for extended periods

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English (preferred)

  • Ability to handle changing priorities

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years working with related products and/or processes

  • Prior manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
