Put your greenhouse and plant science skills to work with Bayer in Woodland, CA. We're hiring Assembly Worker I to support coordinating and facilitating timely seed shipments from Woodland to international destinations, with careful attention to shipping priorities.

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 11PM – 11AM (Night) 

 

Work Environment: Strap line helper must be aware of all Safety hazards, policies, guidelines, and procedures associated with the strap line helper position prior to training. 

 

What's a typical day as aa Assembly Worker I? You will: 

  • Strap line helper in the manufacturing of steel strapping assists in the removal of coils from a rewinder reel using coil carriers, and transports coils from the rewinders to a conveyor system. 

  • Visually inspects coils during the process for obvious defects or markings, not consistent with our quality objectives.  

  • Transfer spools containing slit steel strapping to welding position.  

  • Spot weld individual straps at appropriate time interval.  

  • Assist in correcting production delays and product size changeovers 

 

Must Haves: 

Completed High School / GED or equivalent 

Proven experience in the manufacturing of steel straps. 

Familiarity with safety protocols, policies and guidelines inside the production area. 

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. 

Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges and devise contingency plans for potential shipping delays. 

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of detecting defective steel strap. 

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and correcting product delays and product changeovers.
