We are looking for a dedicated Associate Manufacturing Process Technician to join our team in Juncos, PR. Under direct supervision, you will perform processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the manufacturing area, contributing to the efficient and safe operation of our facility.
Salary: Starting at $12.00ph
Important: MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR 1ST, 2ND, 3RD AND 12 HOUR SHIFTS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of manufacturing equipment.
- Set up and prepare equipment for operation.
- Responsible for internal support operations such as stocking items, autoclaving, and tracking inventory.
- Assist in various manufacturing operations as needed.
- Prepare media and buffers, dispense raw materials, and accurately record transactions in appropriate systems.
- May operate process automation and building monitoring systems.
- May act as a safety representative within the team.
- Understand and follow established procedures.
- Document activities appropriately (e.g., manufacturing processes and logs) using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
- Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of technical/functional procedures relevant to the manufacturing area.
- Established understanding of routine activities within the job.
- Ability to apply basic job skills and knowledge of procedures and processes.
- Experience completing a variety of assignments, including routine lab support procedures and operating specialized equipment.
- Ability to recognize when deviations from accepted practices are required.
Problem Solving:
- Utilize basic analytical skills to solve task-related problems, including fact-finding and verifying data.
- Identify and resolve routine and recurring problems, referring more complex issues appropriately.
Autonomy:
- Typically receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Works under regular supervision, following standard operating procedures and protocol documentation.
- Priorities are set by others, working in accordance with pre-determined deadlines.
Contribution:
- Contributes to team goals through quality and efficiency in individual work.
- Supports team efforts to achieve overall objectives.
Education/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
Competencies/Skills:
- Basic computer operation skills, including proficiency in MS Office and email.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, operate, and understand equipment per procedures.
- Willingness to work any shift to support operations, including 24/7 availability.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Experience in a GMP or regulated environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written procedures, recognize and report malfunctions, and make adjustments to equipment.
- Documentation skills, including written and oral communication skills.
- Capacity to perform visual inspections of products to ensure the absence of defects and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods (8+ hours per day).
- Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures as they relate to work activities.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
