Kelly Science is seeking an Associate Scientist for a growing company located in State College, PA.
Salary: $55,000-65,000/year + Bonus Eligibility
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Employment Type: Full Time; Direct Hire
Job responsibilities include:
- Perform routine mammalian cell culture, including maintenance, passaging, and preparation for downstream applications.
- Execute laboratory protocols with precision, consistency, and adherence to sterile technique and quality standards.
- Accurately document procedures, observations, and results in accordance with lab and quality requirements.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, including careful reagent handling, labeling, timing, and procedural accuracy.
- Identify deviations, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement and proactively communicate observations to supervisors.
- Adapt to evolving protocols or experimental needs while maintaining compliance and data integrity.
- Support general lab operations, including inventory awareness, equipment upkeep, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Bachelors degree in cell biology or a related scientific field.
- 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience. Experience with mammalian cell culture under aseptic technique REQUIRED.
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to follow protocols exactly while recognizing when results, conditions, or observations warrant escalation or discussion.
