Engineering Test Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

• Instrumenting vehicles and conducting component/system level testing
• Setting up and verifying complex test fixtures and measurement equipment, as well as fabricating simple test fixtures
• Reading complex mechanical drawings and making accurate and repeatable measurements
• Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and development of effective countermeasures
• Creating accurate detailed test reports for submitting to test engineering
• Communicate accurately and professionally with Technician, Engineering, and Management teams
• Tracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are met

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in an automotive related discipline plus 4 years of test technician experience. If no Associate degree then must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Very strong automotive mechanical/technical skills, and proficiency using Microsoft Office tools
• Previous experience with data acquisition instrumentation preferred
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn new tasks, and the ability to maintain a clean and safe work area
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
