Job Opportunity: Banking Operations Administrator

Reporting to the Banking Operations Manager, the Banking Operations Administrator (Operations Officer II) plays a key role in delivering accurate, efficient, and high-quality operational support within a leading Canadian financial institution. This position is responsible for performing specialized processing tasks, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting process improvements across multiple banking functions.
The successful candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with operational standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in banking operations, financial services, or administrative roles
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proven experience in spreadsheet creation, data entry, and data management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and adhere to service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Background in banking, accounting, or bookkeeping
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders

Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
  • Execute daily processing tasks with accuracy and timeliness to support business continuity
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with company requirements
  • Use Excel and other tools to manage and analyze data, reports, and metrics
Process Improvement and Collaboration
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and efficiencies
  • Support the implementation of process enhancements in collaboration with team members and management
  • Participate in team meetings, huddles, and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote continuous improvement
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to streamline operations and enhance customer experience
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal partners and customers
  • Communicate effectively across departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth execution of tasks
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and documentation for management as required
