Job Title: Beer Quality Control Specialist - Fork Lift Operator
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay: $18/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 5 PM, with shifts lasting 8-10 hours
Job Overview:
As a Beer Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for checking and correcting beer pallet inaccuracies, recording errors, and reporting them to the Area Manager. In addition to quality control tasks, you'll handle various logistics functions such as inventory control, shipping and receiving, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and correct inaccuracies in beer pallets.
- Ensure all loads are properly stacked, secured, and stable.
- Keep accurate records to track in-house errors and monitor picker accuracy.
- Complete daily equipment checks and report any issues.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure facility.
- Undertake other duties as needed.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Maintains professionalism and effective communication.
- Shows dependability and time management skills.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and flexibility.
- Is results-driven and self-aware.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have forklift experience.
- Preferred six months of experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Familiarity with company technology and inventory control methods.
- Work in a non-temperature controlled environment with heat, humidity, and inclement weather exposure.
- Occasionally work in refrigerated areas.
- Moderate to loud noise levels; exposure to dust and fumes from equipment.
- Regular, reliable attendance is essential.
- Frequently operate pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting (50-65 lbs), and handling tasks.
- Requires specific vision abilities for distance and depth perception.
