Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking Quality Control (QC) & Quality Assurance (QA) professionals for opportunities with our industry partners in the Kansas City, KS or St. Louis, MO areas.

Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using established methodologies and techniques.
  • Document test results and analyze data to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and maintained per company standards.
  • Review batch records, test results, and other documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis for out-of-spec results and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support validation activities, including method qualifications, equipment validation, and stability studies.

Quality Assurance (QA) Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and relevant regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, etc.).
  • Review and approve batch records, production logs, and other quality documents.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
  • Lead and participate in internal and external audits to assess quality compliance and performance.
  • Investigate and resolve deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues, coordinating corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and support regulatory inspections, ensuring timely and accurate submission of documentation.
  • Provide guidance on quality-related issues to cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and regulatory affairs.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring product quality is not compromised.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste.
  • Review and recommend updates to policies, procedures, and quality documentation to reflect evolving best practices and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and other quality standards in the biomanufacturing industry.
  • Commitment to accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with significant life science coursework.
  • Years of experience will depend on level of the position.
    • 0-2 years of professional biomanufacturing experience will qualify for an entry level position
    • 3-5 years of professional biomanufacturing experience will qualify for a mid-level position
    • 6-10+ years of professional biomanufacturing experience will qualify for a senior level position
