Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Business Development Manager/Director, Proteomics Services for a direct-hire position at a premier client. Position Summary: We are seeking a Business Development Manager/Director for our proteomics services in the US. The successful candidate will drive business growth by developing and nurturing key relationships with pharmaceutical, biopharma, biotech, CRO, diagnostic, and major academic organizations across the country.
- Job Location: East Coast/West Coast/Midwest/South Region
- The base salary ranges from $100K to $180K, depending on qualifications. Additionally, there is a commission structure based on sales performance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage new customer accounts, establishing strong business relationships.
- Build strategic partnerships with companies in pharma, biopharma, biotech, CRO, and diagnostics.
- Provide strategic insights for business growth and identify new opportunities through market analysis.
- Collaborate with product management and R&D teams to enhance proteomics product solutions based on market trends and customer feedback.
- Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the proteomics sector, supporting new technology demonstrations and product promotions.
- Represent the company at national and regional conferences, trade shows, online events, and corporate meetings.
- Effectively communicate the company's broader value proposition and vision beyond proteomics services.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum BS in biology, chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of account management and customer-facing experience in the biotech industry.
- Experience in proteomics products or services required; familiarity with pharmaceutical, biopharma, or CROs strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in business development within the relevant market.
- Strong understanding of the proteomics analysis market.
- Willingness to travel 25% - 50% of the time.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
