Kelly Services is partnering with a leading electro-mechanical assembly company who is looking for a Cable & Harness Assembler. If you are interested, please apply using your 2026 resume.
- Pay $27 per hour
The Cable/Wire Harness Assembler will assemble and wire cable harnesses according to schematics and technical specifications. This role supports effective communication and workflow between engineering and production, and involves prototyping, documentation, assembly, quality assurance, and equipment operation.
- Assemble and wire cable harnesses in compliance with schematics and technical specifications.
- Facilitate communication and workflow between engineering and production teams.
- Build prototypes and support initial production builds.
- Write, review, and update cable/wire harness assembly work instructions.
- Operate semi-automatic equipment, including wire/cable cut machines, crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers.
- Perform functional and continuity testing using appropriate test fixtures.
- Solder wires, terminals, electromechanical devices, and electronic components as required.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of assemblies and finished products for quality assurance.
- Assist with sourcing wires, cables, connectors, terminals, components, and tools to support production needs.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in cable/wire harness manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of IPC-620 standards; IPC-620 certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear and accurate assembly process instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in assembly/production.
- Proficient in basic mathematics.
- Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
