Description

At Kelly® Professional & Industrial, we're seeking CNC Machinist/Programmers to join our innovative manufacturing team in Rochester, NY. If you thrive in a dynamic environment where quality and innovation are paramount, this role is for you.

Pay: $25-28/hr. (Depending on experience).
Available Shifts: B Shift (4pm to 2:30am, Mon-Thurs) or C Shift (10:30pm to 7am, Sun-Thurs).

Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for loading programs into the machine controller, reviewing and performing intermediate setup of machine tools, and completing first piece inspection approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture complex parts while ensuring quality control during production runs using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gages.
  • Work with tight tolerances, following control plans and blueprints to produce high-quality products.
  • Operate machines according to CAD models and blueprints.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and machine basic fixtures, with or without prints, to meet production requirements.
  • Review and load programs into controllers and edit programs at the machine as needed.
  • Change tools and offsets as required.
  • Perform first piece inspection and make necessary adjustments for approval.
  • Instruct and train other personnel on machine operation when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Expertise in CNC set-ups, lathe, and mill operation.
  • In-depth knowledge of GD&T, shop math, and CAD-CAM software.
  • Familiarity with G and M codes and ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use hands to handle and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close and color vision.
