CNC Machinists and Programmers
Direct Hire opportunities!
$24 - $32/hour

Kelly Services, in collaboration with several top clients in the Grand Rapids Metro area, is looking for talented CNC Machinists and CNC Programmers! We have multiple Direct Hire opportunities available, ensuring you become a direct employee of the client from day one, with access to their benefits and PTO policies!

Top Qualifications Include:
For CNC Machinist:

  • Operation and setup of CNC Haas Mills and Lathes to produce accurate parts according to process documentation.
  • Perform machine operation tasks, including handling multiple machines concurrently when required.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines, ensuring parts meet close tolerances and finish specifications.
For CNC Programmer:
  • Possesses all the qualifications listed above for CNC Machinists AND
  • Skilled in programming using G code, with the ability to develop programs from blueprints and schematics.

Job responsibilities for all roles may include:
  • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspection using tools like micrometers, calipers, comparators, and various gauges.
  • Perform operator-level maintenance and routine upkeep of machines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or tooling issues, including making minor tooling adjustments and replacements.
  • Implement and maintain 5S standards in the workstation.
Required experience and skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of precision machining experience, especially in operating CNC Haas Mills and Lathes.
  • Solid comprehension of machining principles, GD&T, and programming codes with the ability to make minor adjustments.
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments and reading blueprints according to GD&T standards.
