Compound Management Associate- Wilmington, DE
Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain liquid handling equipment to ensure precise and accurate processing. Managing and handling chemical compounds in a laboratory setting.
  • Optimize workflows for compound processing, including aliquoting, dispensing, and performing quality control checks. Maintaining wet and dry compounds
  • Manage the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of chemical and biological compounds, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date compound inventory database, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with internal systems.
  • Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, and screening scientists to meet compound supply needs and timelines.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce best practices for compound handling, storage, and organization.
  • Continuously improve systems for compound registration, tracking, and retrieval, ensuring efficient operations.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree with 2+ years of experience, or a BS in chemistry, biology, or a related field, with experience in compound management or laboratory work in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or similar setting.
  • High school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Experience with automated liquid handling systems (e.g., Tecan, Beckman Coulter) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in molarity calculations and solution preparation, including pipetting, dilutions, and accurate math for small amounts of materials at the milligram level.
  • Knowledge of molarity conversion and other related techniques.
  • Strong self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic inventory systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional data management skills.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
