Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor/Construction Manager to oversee and manage multiple construction projects across various sites within the Louisville/Southern Indiana area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, local knowledge of government regulations and construction practices, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires a proactive, hands-on leader who can ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Must have experience in multi-family residential construction.

This position is a contract to hire role with benefits that include paid time off, paid holidays, health and life insurance. This is a salaried position that pays $110k to $125k.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage 4-5 construction projects at any given time, ensuring that each is progressing according to schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations on each job site, ensuring the proper execution of plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all on-site personnel, subcontractors, and clients, providing clear communication and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations, working closely with local government officials as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain project timelines, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Oversee project budgets, purchase orders, and material management to ensure cost control.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress, quality of work, and safety conditions.
  • Report project status to upper management, providing updates on timelines, budgets, and any potential delays or issues.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of subcontractors, inspections, and other essential project activities.
  • Ensure the proper handling of all documentation related to project management, including contracts, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role; primarily in multi-family residential.
  • Strong understanding of local construction practices and familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Prior experience in project management is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage on-site personnel, subcontractors, and clients effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; a company-provided work vehicle will be available.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Working Hours:
  • Typical construction hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
