Cost Accounting Analyst 

Hybrid: Work from home + Orange & Pomona sites
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-330pm
Pay Rate: $40-$45 hour 

Cost Accounting Analyst 
Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze expenses and cost transactions, ensuring accurate recording and assignment to projects/departments. 
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reports, including project cost breakdowns, expense forecasts, and efficiency improvement opportunities. 
• Prepare periodic cost reconciliation reports, tracking data 
• like labor and supply costs. 
• Conduct market research to recommend pricing or business model changes. 

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Contribute to budget development and management. 
• Develop and maintain cost standards and budgets. 

Cost Control & Optimization:

• Identify and analyze cost variances and trends. 
• Propose and implement cost-saving measures. 

Inventory Management:

• Process inventory transfers and maintain accurate cost and quantity records. 
• Maintain inventory control procedures. 

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise on projects. 
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management. 

Education: Bachelor's degree required. 

Experience: Proven experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or a related field. 

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
