Manufacturing/Electronic Assembler
Job Description
This role involves applying bonding and conformal coating materials to strengthen and protect circuit card assemblies and magnetic assemblies. The position requires precision and a focus on quality rather than speed.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and schematics to assemble products.
- Solder components like resistors, capacitors, transformers, and connectors onto printed circuit boards.
- Strip wires and tape cores using tools such as pulleys and bobbins.
- Mix adhesives and bond components and wires to circuit boards.
- Mix and apply conformal coatings to circuit card assemblies.
- Apply liquid, tape, and various masking aids to components and boards per work instructions.
- Perform bonding, potting, masking/demasking, spraying, touch-up, and coating re-work.
- Utilize required tools/equipment and follow proper handling procedures during processes.
- Read BOMs and drawings to aid in bonding/coating processes.
- Manage time and perform labor transactions in ERP/MRP software accurately.
- Interface with Engineers for problem-solving or assembly questions.
- Maintain paperwork, filing requirements, and supplies.
- Perform operator verification steps to ensure work meets quality standards.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
- Soldering and electronic assembly experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of wiring and assembly techniques.
- Experience with circuit boards and applying coatings
Work Environment
Work in a very clean, climate-controlled environment with only about four individuals in this department. The atmosphere is quiet and well-lit. The schedule is Monday to Friday with two 15-minute breaks and a half-hour lunch. Casual dress code with sneakers or boots is allowed, and safety glasses and ear protection are provided as needed. No cell phones are allowed on the floor.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.25-$19.50/hr. 1st and 2nd shifts.
