About the Role:
Join our innovative automotive engineering team as an Automotive Electrical Release Engineer! We are looking for a detail-focused professional with a background in automotive wiring systems to oversee product releases and collaborate closely with both customers and internal teams. You will play a crucial role in tracking engineering issues, ensuring quality control, and driving projects to successful delivery.
Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, log, and follow up on open engineering issues, working with both internal and client-side stakeholders to reach timely resolutions.
  • Manage and support customer part release systems, including processing approval documents and maintaining compliance with release procedures.
  • Review and validate technical information received from customers, confirming its completeness and application to current projects.
  • Create and utilize Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) reports to anticipate and mitigate design risks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve challenges with both new and legacy wiring designs.
  • Develop and manage Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVPR) to validate product integrity.
  • Serve as a primary liaison to customers regarding design status, modifications, and build requirements.
  • Oversee and control design release budgets, evaluating both unit and tooling costs to maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct functional evaluations of prototypes, making necessary revisions to meet technical standards.
  • Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure timely, specification-compliant delivery of parts, participating in design inspections and reviews as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive wiring design or release engineering.
  • Working knowledge of DFMEA and DVPR procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for quality assurance.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects simultaneously to successful, on-time completion.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellence.
