Location: Ocala, FL
Pay: $31.91/hr.
Shift: 12 Hour 6pm to 6am
***Training will be for 2 weeks Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm and then will transition to nights. ***
Duration: 5-month- Contract-To-Hire
Interview: Manager will be conducting interviews Perform electrical, mechanical, sheet metal, welding and pipefitting duties which involve replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all functions of the job in a safe manner
- Replace or repair equipment and/or component parts as required
- Inspect the equipment to determine condition and state of repair
- Perform electrical maintenance including:
- Electrical systems analysis - check for shorts, faulty equipment, etc., then perform complete repairs as necessary.
- Replacement of defective wiring.
- Installation and/or repairs of minor electrical components which include motors, receptacles, etc.
- Reading and analyzing electrical diagrams or schematic drawings and make needed repairs.
5. Perform mechanical maintenance such as or in example:
- Replacement or repair bearings, shafts, gears, belts, impellers, etc.
- Repair of all handling equipment.
- Alignment of all drive components
- Replacement of hydraulic components including valves, pumps, cylinders, etc.
6. Performs any type of electric arc and acetylene welding and cutting assignments using generally accepted welding and cutting procedures.
7. Assembles, disassembles, or installs mechanical equipment working from engineering drawings, field sketches, other related documents, and verbal field instructions needed to perform assigned duties.
8. Must be proficient in all machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools and precision instruments.
9. Performs regular fire and safety inspections and issues reports.
10. Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
11. Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years industrial electrician.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must work well in team environment.
- Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be willing and able to train others on advanced craft or controls related skills.
- Must learn new controls technologies and systems as required throughout plant.
