Job Title: Facilities Specialist
Location: West Melbourne, FL 32904
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Occasional Overtime)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Worker to support day-to-day operations and facilities upkeep. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-conscious, and capable of completing tasks independently with minimal supervision. This position requires a proactive team player with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Facilities Supervisor/Lead to complete daily work orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility (good housekeeping practices)
  • Perform general custodial duties, including:
    • Emptying trash
    • Mopping cafeteria and restrooms
    • Replenishing restroom supplies
    • Vacuuming offices and high-traffic areas
  • Ensure janitorial supplies are stocked across all facility areas
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance on production equipment
  • Follow preventative maintenance programs and schedules
  • Respond to facility emergencies in a timely manner
  • Operate tools and equipment necessary for assigned tasks
  • Perform minor landscaping and exterior maintenance
  • Assist with office and production line relocations as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and surrounding spaces
  • Use an 8-foot step ladder and manned lift (lift training required) to perform elevated duties

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial, or related role required.
  • Forklift and scissor lift certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and painting preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot, assess, and resolve maintenance issues independently
  • OSHA training preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working without direct supervision
  • Ability to interact with personnel at all organizational levels
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Excellent attendance record required
