What You'll Be Doing:
As a Final Line Mechanic I, you'll help keep production running smoothly by:

Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components. Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear and doors, engines, cowls, aircraft entry doors, and associated parts and hardware.

Remove and replace linkages, sectors, components, cut and fit system lines and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.

Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations; verify that all parts and assemblies meet requirements. Perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity standards.

Install system lines, valves, ducts, and associated parts and hardware; work to ensure a leak-free system.

Use a variety of tools and equipment (e.g., permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, wrenches, checking tools, witness gauges) to complete component and minor structural installations.

Remove and replace, cut, and fit system lines, panels, and structural components and associated hardware necessary to perform basic repairs.

Update and sign required logs and records as necessary.

Check own work to ensure defect-free installations prior to final inspection.

Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support company FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all safety regulations.

Demonstrate Gulfstream Manufacturing competencies as part of the employee effectiveness review.

Maintain and use all required logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, CRABs, PCOs, etc.

Support continuous improvement processes as assigned.

Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
This Job Might Be a Great Fit If You:

High School Diploma or GED required.
-
1 year aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.).
-
A&P license may offset the one year of experience required.
-
Solumina and SmarTeam experience preferred.
-
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams and use all required tools.

Ability to perform basic drilling, reaming, and ship-fitting of parts.
