Kelly Services has openings for Flexographic Press Operators with a reputable Client located in St. Louis, MO. These are positions with immediate hiring potential.
- Location: St. Louis, MO
- Shift Available: 3rd shift 10pm-6am
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
- Salary Range: $22.69 to $42.00 per hour, contingent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the setup and adjustment of the flexographic press alongside the Press Assistant.
- Conduct routine scheduled maintenance to ensure operational reliability.
- Supervise the printing process to uphold quality standards.
- Engage in the training and mentoring of team members as directed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with departments and maintenance staff on projects and validations.
- Commit to Continuous Improvement, enhancing Quality, Cycle Times, Safety, Cost Reductions, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Follow company policies, structure, and core processes.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma or GED required at minimum.
- Minimum of three years in the flexographic printing field recommended.
- Essential print industry experience required.
- Three or more years in machine repair or manufacturing necessary.
- Must exhibit strong computer skills.
- Prior background in resolving printing-related issues.
- Knowledge or experience with printing materials such as plates, stocks, foils, stamps, screens, inks, and varnishes.
- Ability to continuously lift 10 - 15 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand throughout the shift duration.
- Skill in identifying and mitigating color discrepancies.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, squat, grasp, and frequently reach.
- Capacity to work efficiently under deadline pressures while maintaining quality standards.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality-driven work habits are required.
- Cooperative demeanor to work effectively with other team members.
