Now Hiring: Floral Designer in Honolulu

Location:
1618 N Nimitz Hwy, Honolulu, HI 96817, United States

Pay Rate:
$20/HR

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to guests with a friendly demeanor, addressing their needs directly or guiding them to the appropriate help.
  • Engage in tasks and challenges with enthusiasm, aiming for optimal accuracy and efficiency to ensure superior guest service.
  • Commit attention to detail, take ownership of tasks, and ensure follow-through for excellent results.
  • Assist in crafting new and exciting floral designs, including Signature, holiday, and seasonal lines.
  • Maintain fresh and well-stocked product displays in the Nimitz Showroom to create an impactful visual appeal.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment.
Support Duties:
  • Assist with Special Events consultations.
  • Efficiently navigate our MAS computer system within the first 90 days.
  • Stay informed on trends and apply personal knowledge as necessary.
  • Help with educational classes for both internal and external guests.
  • Support the development and enhancement of collateral materials for Guest Services.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities by leveraging existing contacts.
Skills Required:
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in floral designing.
  • Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports, and effectively communicate in group settings.
  • Mathematical Skills:

  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations and ability to compute ratios and percentages.
  • Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to follow instructions in various formats and solve problems with concrete variables.
  • Professional Conduct and Appearance:

  • Exhibit professionalism, minimize personal activities, and adhere to company dress code for a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and embrace the concept of complete guest satisfaction. Physical Demands:
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, and communicate.
    • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required for close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
    Work Environment:
    • Exposure to temperatures as low as 32°F in flower coolers.
    • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
    • Working hours typically range from 7 am to 4 pm.
