Forklift Operator in Pooler Position: Forklift Operator
Location: Pooler
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations by performing a variety of essential tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading goods from containers and trailers
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates within the storage facility
- Stacking goods in the correct storage areas, following inventory control instructions
- Checking loads for security
- Stacking empty pallets
- Performing daily equipment checks, such as recharging equipment or changing propane tanks
- Removing machine attachments and waste materials from machines
- Examining products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Good math, language, and reading skills
- High degree of attention to promote a safe work environment and prevent injury
- Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
- Ability to execute assignments accurately, timely, and safely
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Forklift certification per OSHA standards preferred, with 1+ years of experience
