Cherry Picker / Order Selector
Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Cherry Picker / Order Selector, serving clients in the oil, gas, chemicals, and distribution market sectors.
Job Purpose
Maintain an efficient flow of stocked and delivered inventory by operating cherry pickers and order selector forklifts, handling heavier items such as piping, and managing inventory data using RF scanners and basic computer tasks.
Responsibilities
Safely operate cherry picker/order selector forklifts to pull inventory from bins and racks (up to four rack levels), load materials onto trucks, and place new arrivals in designated locations.
Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspect materials for quality requirements.
Stock and transfer materials to the appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle based on a predetermined sequence.
Mark materials with correct identifying information.
Transfer materials to/from modification shops as needed.
Assemble and package customer orders in boxes and on pallets per requirements.
Prepare and document shipments via UPS, LTL, SH, or Air.
Enter and scan inventory data using RF scanners and computer systems.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and customer safety policies.
Adhere to all required safety policies, guidelines, and training.
Perform other warehouse duties and projects as assigned.
Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent, verifiable cherry picker/order selector forklift operating experience.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to four rack levels.
  • Experience handling heavier materials, such as piping.
  • Basic math and computer skills; proficiency with RF scanners.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
Schedule & Pay
Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts.
Pay starts at $20/hour, with potential for a higher rate based on experience.
Additional Qualifications
Ability to learn and follow company, federal, health, and safety regulations.
Knowledge of or ability to learn warehouse operations and processes.
